My name is Tasherra Newbill and I am a junior at Old Dominion University. Seeking a degree in criminal justice along with a minor in sociology has been my main focus for the past three years. The purpose of this website is to introduce how female criminality has been over exaggerated by the media and how the important dynamics of many female criminal cases are overlooked and go unheard within the realm of the media. Female offending has began to rise, and the gender gap of offending is beginning to converge because women are becoming more like men are the targeted statements that continue to put women offending in the spotlight; why? because this is unusual, startling, mind-bothering and most of all it is "Newsworthy".....
