A 19 year Old Commits SUICIDE....
---- According to previous evidence found, Ashley smith began to show signs of disorderly behavior at an early age;her family reached out to other sources to help her like neighboring social service agencies(A preventable Death,2010). Unfortunately they could not control her unruly actions and the horrific behaviors she displayed only began to grow worse when she was punished for them (A preventable Death, 2010). Ashley smith was was incarcerated from 2003 until 2006 being transferred between over nine different federal and provincial institutions(Richard,Levert, and Cantin, 2008). Ashley smith was initially sentenced because she threw crab apples at someone and she was brought before the juvenile court system and she was sentenced to be put in New Brunswick Youth Center to keep her safe and from causing harm unto herself (Richard, Levert, and Cantin, 2008). While she spent time at NBYC she acquired over 50 criminal charges that involved acts of self-harm or harm being brought upon the professional staff and guards( A preventable Death, 2010).Time progressed and Ashley's offenses had increased and were now being tried for adult sentences since she had reached age 18. She was transported to a federal penitentiary, Nova Institution for Women ( A preventable Death, 2010). While Ashley spent time in prison she often faked choking herself for attention, and she would inflict pain and injuries on guards who tried to detain her( ( A preventable Death, 2010). Staff were eventually told to ignore her behavior; this was where the downfall; began, and how Ashley Smith lost her life ( A preventable Death, 2010). She died on October 19, 2007 at Kitchner, Ontario Hospital due to a loss of oxygen from hanging herself and failure of a quick response from the prison guards, and she wrote ( Richard, Levert, and Carntin, 2008)........

-----My Life-----
My life I no longer love
I’d rather be set free above
Get it over with while the time is right
Late some rainy night
Turn black as the sky and as cold as the sea
Say goodbye to Ashley
Miss me but don’t be sad
I’m not sad I’m happy and glad
I’m free, where I want to be
No more caged up Ashley
Wishing I were free
Free like a bird.

A MISSING Child and UNCONCERNED Mother....
----Sadly this case centralizes around the death of a two year old little girl, Caylee Anthony, who went missing and was thought to have been murdered by her mother Casey Anthony with the use of chloroform ( Hightower, 2011). Caylee was reported missing in July of 2008 and her bodily remain were found not to far from her residence with her mother and grandparents in December of 2008( Escherich, 2011). Casey Anthony did not report that her daughter was missing until 31 days after she had been gone, her lack of concern for her daughter an her well being was deemed to have been very unusual and suspicious; maybe she did not care, maybe she distraught and did not know how to react, or maybe she knew where she was at and happened all along( Hightower, 2011). Not to mention that Cindy which is Caylee's grandmother reported her missing to a 911 dispatcher at the Orange County Sherrfis' office on July 15, 2008, Casey was to busy making excuses in regards to her missing child's whereabouts such as she was kidnapped by the nanny, another claim was also reached that stated Caylee Anthony drowned by a pool ( Hightower, 2011); What really happened to Caylee? Cindy, Casey's mother, reported that her daughters car had a foul odor as as if a "dead body" was in there. On December 11, 2008 the police officers search was successful they found remains of a child in a near area close to the home on the Anthony family, the child was found in a trash bag and was matched to be little Caylee (Escherich, 2011). On he other hand, Casey Anthony was trialed on multiple occasions and the verdict reached found her not guilty of 1st degree murder, but she was charged on four misdemeanor accounts for giving false information to law enforcement (Hayes, 2011).
My Life & Children Are Worth His DEATH...
---- Wendy Maldonado, was horrifically abused by her husband for over 18 years( Maldonado, 2009). Phone calls were made to the police on numerous occasions from her eldest son, and neighbors who surrounded them (Maldonado, 2009). The police never reacted on the situation due to the fact that when the calls were made and they arrived Wendy told them that nothing was going on; however, they still could have taken a much further step and asked to look inside for assurance but this did not occur on either incident( Maldonado, 2009).Wendy's husband would also beat on the children especially their eldest son Randy, leaving them all with bruises and tragic memories that made them terrified of him and terrified for their lives( Maldonado, 2009). One of the younger sons stated at his mothers trial at he know his father started abusing him while he was in pre-school because he remembers when he told his teacher that when he got older he was going to kill his father (Maldonado, 2009). This is devastating to know that a child under the age a five is so distraught and fearful that he desires to kill someone and let alone the man who is suppose to protect him. Wendy Maldonado and her son Randy killed Aaron Maldonado, her husband and his father, with a hammer and an axe object in 2005 (Hale, 2009). Wendy was given 10 years in prison and her son was sentenced to serve 75 months (Hale, 2009). HBO has made a sequence that tells the story of Wendy and her children and the dysfunctional family they had with Aaron it is entitled "Ever F------ Day of My Life."
